It's your typical worms game but offers a little more. Fun level design, little challenges in between levels, and offers weapon crafting to tackle missions in different ways.

To start off, this game is really fun game-play wise and is quite good through steam remote play with friends, however I find that this game is the most buggy game to launch, ever. It worked completely fine on my desktop setup, yet the moment I installed it on my laptop it gave me problems. At first it would not even launch, it would simply stop running after a few seconds of pressing launch. I tried to install .dll files such as mfc110u.dll, msvcr110.dll and msvcp110.dll onto the game folder "WormsWMD" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WormsWMD, and then it just asks for an admin's permission, runs for a moment, then asks again repeatedly in this cycle. I have also tried uninstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 and installing the 2019 version instead, as that was on the latest one in the vcredist folder of "Steamworks Shared". Still no hope. (Keep in mind this seems to only happen on laptops.)
Among other things the game has not taken into consideration is that if anyone plays the game with a different scale other than 100% (and in a higher resolution than 1080p), the game ♥♥♥♥♥ itself by zooming in on the top left corner causing half of the screen to just be gone. You have to change the scale each time you play the game which I find just a tad bit tedious. (Fx. If you play it on 1440p, 150%, half of the screen is just gone, as if it is zoomed in on the top left corner)
In conclusion, good gameplay, good multiplayer, terrible compability with devices such as laptops, has poor optimization for different screens and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ support team, I looked through steam forums for hours, and Team17 gave people the most generic advice possible. Play on desktop and hope for the best on laptop.

Not worth 30€.
