This game is great and deserves more attention.

Love the game. In fact I even made a post on Reddit recommending it to people to try and grow the community. With that said. I’m leaving a negative review so some issues can be see and addressed. Hopefully my promotion offsets any potential damage from this review. Either way I’ll update it to positive in a few weeks

With everything these is to love, this game has some of the worst settings I’ve ever used in the entire FGC.

Remapping your controls for in battle also remaps your controls for menu navigation. So lets say you like your punches and kicks on your bumpers, well now you also have to use those as your ‘accept’ and ‘back buttons’

Also, why do I have to go all the way back to the main menu to change controls. Nothing like having 4 friends with 2 connected controllers and having to go back to the main menu after every single switch to fix peoples preferred buttons.

Want your punch buttons above your kick buttons like pretty much every other fighting game ever? Well your going to have to use A for back and X for accept. It just doesn’t make sense.

The way the trials progress means that if you want to keep practicing what you’ve been taught you end up missing critical information. There should also be indicators that the opponent is about to attack so you can properly learn the timing of parries and timed moves like perfect ducks.

Finally, I wouldn’t mind an option to make grab two buttons, but that’s not a large deal.

Still love the game and will be putting some time into getting good with friends. Just want these things to be noted as they do get in the way of the experience, especially for my more casual friends.
