As much as I want to like this game. It just feels too clunky to play. At least on KB&M.

Its a shame the game does not have a target lock system or teaches you one during the tutorial. So many times I end up over shooting what I am trying to target especially when airborne. The game is also really stingy with health and the perk that the starting character has of "gain health on charge attacks which scales of combo" is such a tiny percentage that it practically never happens and when it does it gives only a sliver of health.

Call it a skill issue but its just too punishing and jank for me and doesn't have a rougelite system where you can increase HP and other stats permanently overtime so you can at least get to the end. Instead the macro economy is based on randomly unlocking items to further dilute the loot pool at the end of each fight which only makes the game harder.

If the game got a re-balance I would return to it.

P.S. Please fix the bug where the game is always at 100% volume unless you open the options and move the master volume slider to have the game update the volume to what its set at.

I feel like I was duped by all the positive reviews of this game.

Everything about it is chaotic in an unpleasant way. Enemy attacks seem impossible to consistently dodge. The booster pads placed everywhere throughout the arenas resulted in me constantly being blasted off somewhere I didn't intend to go while trying to avoid the endless onslaught of enemy attacks. Ammo is in extremely short supply, meaning you constantly have to roll attack enemies, so you can't keep yourself at a safe distance from them. The visuals are noisy and only make it harder to tell what's going on. The audio seems designed to induce stress and is just as overwhelming as the visuals, and the music is kind of odd in and of itself and is not my thing. Also, I suppose this is my fault for not investigating further before purchasing on the strength of the positive reviews, but I was expecting more substantial levels rather than confined arenas.

Normally I would have just refunded and moved on, but this time I unfortunately didn't get around to properly trying the game until the refund window (which is too short) had passed, so my Steam cash was wasted.
