Hey Giants!

Thank you so much for your support and feedback during these first months! We’re grateful for your backing in making Reus 2 as good as it can be. Because of you, we can go out and improve the game further. Let’s take a look at the future roadmap!

Atlantic Forest Update

This update will expand on the Rainforest! We have some ideas for new animals, plants, and minerals.
Hopefully, we can also deliver more statistics about your whole Reus 2 career with Universe Stats! Think about your highscores, your best use of the spirits or things like that!

Amur Update

The Amur update focuses on the Taiga. A few new Biotica will be introduced, including the famous Amur Leopard. We hope to expand a bit on the Taiga mechanics with them!

We’re also looking to create new giant abilities, to distinct them more from one another!

Future Update

We have more updates planned, including some pretty big announcements. Stay tuned to learn more!

Level up unlocking

I've watched YT videos of the game. From what I've seen so far, everything is unlocked by leveling up from just playing the game. Is this true? I've been eyeing it for a while now and it looks to be a lot of fun.

FIXED

Mystery from Legacy biotica is now taken into account for the city's mystery processing
Fixed that the last instance of a biome aura (like from Reef Shark or Open Brain Coral) wasn't removed properly.
Removed Parrotfish's nature fact. It thought it was a Sunfish.

BALANCE

Finger Coral, Turtle Grass, Sandgrouse, and Ruber Tree lose their Bio cost.
Mica loses its Bio cost, and gives +35 science and +8 mystery.
Jabuticaba loses its Bio cost, and is also tagged Fruit per stack.
Desert Tortoise loses Bio cost and gains +50 gold
Parrotfish is a Shallows bioticum.
Christmas Tree Coral is now Correctly a Deep Bioticum.

Fixed faulty text in some project and biotica rules (BIOTICUM_TYPE_CONCAN...) which obscured the triggers for symbioses and bonuses.

Water biome cities

The mechanics of the water biome make it the worst biome despite your recent work on it. 1. You cannot build cities on it, which means that it has no unique aesthetic 2. If you build a city in the middle of an ocean then you will divide it into two separate oceans. This sucks for 2 reasons. 2a. Splitting the biome could mean that it loses half of its biodiversity, which nukes combo potential. 2b. It actually affects at least 5 tiles to split an ocean. The new biome is one tile, but it also creates 4 shallo...

Camera is stuck at the bottom of the planet.

Hi All, I started a new planet but the camera is stuck looking at the bottom of the planet. I think its a bug? I dont know if there's a way to unlock/lock the camera but I cant play the whole game upside down.

This game tickles my neuroticness about tinkering with ratios in a way few games do.
It's a very casual game. I'm having a really hard time with life right now so being able to do the videogame equivalent of sorting jellybeans has been really nice.

The game has great graphics and the gameplay is fun. However, there simply is not enough content. I have played about 5 hours of this game and I feel like I have done everything there is to offer, there are not that many spirits to use, there are only 6 gods. There are a lot of different biotica but they do not feel like actually new content. This game is massively overpriced, which is a shame because i was hoping i would like it. If it were a quarter of the price this review would be positive.

I just want to reiterate what I've seen in other reviews: if you played the first Reus and found it charming and fun but couldn't ignore some of the flaws, you're probably going to love Reus 2. I don't know when I've ever seen a sequel refine and expand so well on what made its predecessor great while ditching the elements that were constricting or un-fun. It would make a great study in iterative game design, really. Reus 2 has tons of interacting systems but doesn't feel oppressive or induce choice paralysis, and it gives a lovely sense of your little worlds being "alive" while staying turn-based, so there's no time pressure and very little stress. Great mess-around-and-have-fun game, warmly recommended.

Ladies Night achievement

Just finished a planet on Giant difficulty with three female characters, got several achievements, but not the 'Ladies Night' one screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198060705215/screenshot/2503522046731738862/ The achievement's description says: Complete a planet with the Goddess, the Huntress, and the Pirate Queen.
