Alright. Little Kitty, Big City is done and dusted. I'll say this right out the gate: this game is about as wholesome an experience as you can find in gaming and is a game that can be enjoyed equally by children and adults, making it an obvious title for people also wanting to have some gaming time with their kids, amongst other things.

The premise is pretty simple. You, the titular kitty, are lounging around on the window ledge just outside your owner's apartment (your home). As you are stretching, you end up falling off said ledge and end up on the ground, many many stories below. Your goal is simply to get back home. In order to do so though, you will need to buff up on your endurance and figure out a way to navigate the city and the challenges presented within in order to find a way to climb all the way back up.

You will meet many friendly animals on your journey, from other cats to a raccoon to various birds to even a doggo. They will generally give you some fun quests that involve doing cat things or simply finding things/other animals. The raccoon in particular is important as he is an amateur scientist and is able to create portals to fast travel around the map. My favorite NPCs were the duck family, which I am confident will be amongst your favorites as well.

The dialogue in the game is all very witty and does a great job of being funny and offering perspective from an animial's point of view. As such, there are innumerable animal jokes that address various things different types of animals are known for. Which serves to increase the charm meter, which was already pushing maximum on vibes.

There are of course plenty of obstacles along the way. Your cardio isn't up to snuff, for one, since you have basically been a lounge cat all your life. Additionally, the city is experiencing issues with its water pipes ATM, and as such, there are big pools of water all over the place, a thing anathema to everything you stand for as a kitten, lol. Hostile dogs and various physical obstacles also can be found around the map.

With that in mind, you will spend most of your time finding 'shinies' for a crow, pouncing on unsuspecting unnamed birds to mess with them and grab one of their feathers each. You will find an assortment of cute hats to wear. Of course, knocking things off of tables, ledges and so on is a very important cat activity and you will do so. You'll be pet by people and also get underfoot causing them to trip and fall lol. You'll be jumping into boxes, trash cans. And cat napping. Gotta get some naps in. You will also unlock various cat emotes such as excessive and abnormal stretching.

Ultimately, everything in the game is predicated on the idea that eventually, you will find both the endurance and the path to get back home. After which, you unlock free roam to wrap up anything you still might have left to do, if you are so inclined.

The graphics and audio are all focused on this cute world with cute characters and funny situations. Everything here lends itself to being an all-ages experience. Very cartoonish in general, in a nice way with smooth assets, a pleasant color tone, and just a fun artistic sensibility. Speaking is done in animal sounds of course, with speech bubbles. and all the sounds of the city are pretty realistic for what they are.

I played exclusively with an Xbox X controller and had zero issues in general, technical or otherwise.

I think this is an incredibly easy title to recommend. It's fun, charming, quirky, good for all ages, engaging, and well worth a look. Big shout out to my friend who gifted this to me.

Too short, boring, and waaaay too buggy.

Keep getting stuck inside walls. Cat starts sliding down invisible barriers.

Also, poorly designed. Take the teleport pads. When I unlock one, why does the game force me to use it? I just want to unlock it then move on.

You need to collect 4 fish to 'complete' the game. They could have fleshed it out so much more, but this is a bare bones game, and that's all there is to it.

Just not a good game.

Edit - The only reason there are so many hours in the game is because my daughter likes running around and getting stuck in walls. So it's good for an 8 year old who finds glitches funny.
