The Dark Troopers are the secret, experimental warriors of Moff Gideon and the Empire. Once manned by living soldiers inside, the Dark Troopers are now fully automated Droids executing the Empire's most vital tasks. A single Dark Trooper nearly defeated The Mandalorian, and an entire battalion trapped Grogu's rescue company aboard the bridge of Gideon's cruiser. That is, until the arrival of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, whose skills and training the troopers are clearly no match for.
