Homebrew Website Club Berlin #16 on 16 Nov 2017

The IndieWeb is a people-focused alternative to the “corporate web”. At worldwide Homebrew Website Club meetups, we discuss the control of user data, self-hosting our content, and experiment with decentralized web tools (and here in Berlin, we commonly also engage in long debates about online privacy).

Bring your laptop and something you’d like to hack on (anything from writing that overdue blog post to advanced experiments on your server) and join us to exchange opinions, ideas, tricks and solutions. As always, we are happy to introduce new attendees to the IndieWeb philosophy and existing techniques. No previous knowledge or experience is required.

We gather starting from 18:30, with an “official start” at 19:00; stay as long as it is fun, usually we hang around for about two hours. Drinks and candy bars are available for purchase.

Homebrew Website Club is a bi-weekly meetup of people passionate about or interested in creating, improving, building, designing their own website, in the same structure as the classic Homebrew Computer Club meetings.
