Homebrew Website Club Berlin #6 on 19 Apr 2017

In the previous meeting of our Homebrew Website Club Berlin, we again had inspiring discussions not only about approaches to decentralize the social web, but specifically about questions of ethical and fair design, as well as some of the privacy aspects involved with what we do. This might be a very German angle to engage in Indieweb discussions, but everybody agreed it was thought-provoking in the best possible way. No need to mention, we also talked about a myriad of other topics (see these comprehensive summaries by Florian and Sven).

For the upcoming event on April 19, we are once again returning to the venue of our very first meeting three months ago, this time trying to grow the group by announcing it also on meetup.com - let’s see what the turnout will be and what new ideas any newcomers may bring to the debate:

• 18:30 Warm-up: Gathering the crowd, catching up, getting to know each other

• 19:00 Show-and-tell: What are you currently working on? What is the current pain point on your personal website or with the social web at large? (These can be related to the Indieweb technology stack or not, and it is of course optional; to join us it is not necessary - though encouraged - to present anything.)

• After: Continuing the conversations, helping each other out, or just having another drink

Everybody is welcome! Just look for the IndieWebCamp sign on our table and say “Hallo”.
