📍 Tyresö • How will the city reach net zero by 2030? With a one-person sustainability team, the city had to find innovative solutions.   Tyresö municipality, home to one of Sweden’s most popular nature reserves, turned away from traditional document formats, to a digital climate plan. This helped save time and resources by making administration easier, understanding the big picture better with data and allowing more time for implementation. Such as involving the local school in an annual assessment of the city’s climate action. “The platform was an opportunity to visualize, involve stakeholders and communicate in a way that we could not do with other documents. There was no need for a pdf version. Any static document would be outdated as soon as it was printed. 📚  Case study • Impact assessment – the case of Helsingborg In 2023, Helsingborgs stad, an EU Mission City, developed their new Climate and Energy Plan for the period 2025-2030. They had involved stakeholders from across sectors and produced a list of potential actions. They lacked an overview. Would the actions be enough to reach the 2030 targets? They turned to AFRY and ClimateView to find out. ICLEI USA and ClimateView announce their intention to partner to create next-generation technology solutions for city planning, investment, and implementation. This partnership harnesses the potential of integrating the capabilities of ICLEI USA’s climate planner tool (ClearPath) with the ClimateView platform. Released to California local governments in 2013 and nationally in 2014, ICLEI’s ClearPath software is the industry-leading climate inventory and modeling tool used by more than 900 U.S. local and regional governments. “A partnership with ClimateView allows us to develop a platform 2.0 with an improved user interface and access to new features, including public dashboards for stakeholder engagement, as well as the potential to leverage artificial intelligence" says Angie Fyfe, Executive Director of ICLEI USA.

Google and ClimateView are partnering up. Combined, the duo offers the world’s most extensive source of activity-based data (Environmental Insights Explorer), with the framework and platform (ClimateView) used by over 135 actors to accelerate the green transition in cities, regions and nations. "In order to bring about sustainable transformation, local policy makers need access to robust environmental intelligence and data. This is where Google can help. 🗞 News alert: Scotland and ClimateView join forces in delivering the nation's net zero goal 2045. Led by the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service – jointly funded by all 32 local authorities and the The Scottish Government and delivered by the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, Improvement Service – the partnership will help local authorities by using standardised data, supporting officers and decision-makers to use evidence more effectively, and providing a service to share best practice, ideas and solutions. “We need to deliver climate action at pace and scale to meet targets and unlock all the other benefits for the people of Scotland; moving from static climate action plans to a live-action feed of what works and what is blocked should help us support evidence-based decision making and unlock investment.” - Clare Wharmby, Programme Director of Scottish Climate Intelligence Service

Accenture and ClimateView are collaborating – with the goal to empower the public sector in reaching its green transition targets. The two companies are teaming up to combine ClimateView’s technology with Accenture’s industry experience to create effective climate strategies and support city-regions in accelerating their decarbonisation. The collaboration is underway in the Ruhr region in Germany, helping 53 cities transition. This partnership will extend the reach and impact of ClimateView’s software platform and Artificial Intelligence capabilities, and enable Accenture’s industry practitioners with evidence-based, data and AI-powered insights to the public sector at local, regional and national level.
