Sariel, is a former Player taken from YGGDRASIL and placed intro the New World.

Appearance[]

Sariel appears as a large humanoid figure who shines unnaturally bright most of the time, obscuring their features. Without the blinding light, Sariel has tanned skin and four arms with two hands being pitch black and the other two being marble white, one of each type on each side.

They wear a brilliant purple and gold robe which is enchanted to inspire awe in people who see them and if they fail to resist the robe's mind controlling effects, force them to bow or kneel before him. Furthermore, the robes bolster allies around Sariel further enhancing his commander abilities.

Sariel wears five rings on two of his hands, the equipment limit in YGGDRASIL, along with an ornate crown.

Personality[]

He had little care for playing with others in YGGDRASIL, preferring to go it alone by himself than having to trouble himself with forming a group and setting up commitments. Sariel never chose to join a guild either, being put off by the intensity of the competitive scene and worried that if he ever built a Guild house, that it would likely be looted and destroyed by Players who understood the meta better than himself.

Sariel always preferred to go things his own way, including with his class and racial choices, as his choices were deemed sub-optimal, however, still went through with them because of the aesthetics of being a Angelic summoner, despite this, Sariel would still learn to summon Evil creatures which resulted in him gaining negative karma.

When playing the game, he always liked to horde as much strength and magical items as possible and expend as little too. Sariel hated the idea of limited-use items, dismissing them over unlimited use items, even in cases where the limited-use items were stronger as Sariel found them unsatisfying, likewise, Sariel found the Cash Shop and its limited-use items even more offensive and only used the Cash Shop to get cosmetics and permanent items.

Background[]

During the days of YGGDRASIL, Sariel had a tough time playing due to being a loner on top of his unorthodox choices, straying very far from the any meta build and electing to go his own way, this led to him discovering the Master of the Planes class and a hidden level above that, that few knew about and even less had tried.

Sariel at some point during his levels had gotten his hands on a World class item, Light's Refraction. Light's Refraction had a specific use and could only be used once before disappearing from the user's inventory, where upon activation, the World class item would create 5 exact clones of the User as if using the "Clone" spell, except they had none of the downsides and acted under the full direction of the user and lasted until destroyed. Sariel, due dislike for using limited-use items, horded the item upon finding it and stashed it away so that even if he were slain, he wouldn't lose the item.

Sariel did markedly well against PvE scenarios due to his ability to constantly create new powerful allies to join him in battle and was even able to take on bosses by himself as long as he remained away from the fight, however, within PvP scenarios, he did significantly worse, as Sariel had comparatively little HP and combat ability, he remained vulnerable to powerful spells and attacks and with Players simply ignoring his summons and choosing to slay him first. This led to many frustrating fights for Sariel and furthered his dislike for PKing Guilds like Ainz Ooal Gown.

Upon discovering the requirements for the Avatar class, Sariel had brought out Light's Refraction, and though he was reluctant to use the World class item even then, conjured up 5 copies of himself and sacrificed four of them to gain access to the Avatar class.
