A Pterodactyl of Outworld.
The Pterodactyls, which are native winged creatures of Outworld, first appeared in Mortal Kombat II and later reappear in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.
These giant bird-like prehistoric reptiles, though similar to the extinct Pterodactyls of Earth, can be found flying around the Soul Tombs including the palace's Kombat Tomb in Outworld.
In Mortal Kombat (2011), Outworld's pterodactyls are already being captured and enslaved by Shao Kahn's brutal militia, and now they have been set loose, alongside the creatures of Outworld, upon the unsuspecting and unfamiliar realm of Earth during the Konqueror's invasion. They are seen in The Street where also during gameplay they can fly over the screen. In Stryker's Story Chapter, after emerging victorious over Mileena, a Pterodactyl is seen flying very near him, distracting the police officer.
