A demonic and bloodthirsty creature called the Netherrealm Hound (equivalent of Hellhound) was mentioned in Earthrealm mythology; it existed within the Netherrealm itself.
The Netherrealm Hounds were originally going to appear as enemies in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero but were eventually cut.[1] The Netherrealm Hound appears only as artwork by John Tobias.

- These beasts are very similar to TaiGores. The only differences are that they don't have horns, a sharp blade at the tip of their tails, and don't appear in Mortal Kombat (2011).
