Caesar Cerant is a character who only appeared in Mortal Kombat: A Novel.
He was a Belgian national martial arts champion that fought Art Lean in London to defend his championship title. He was defeated by the American fighter and knocked unconscious until attendants revived him. Art then proceeded to claim his belt and was invited to the Mortal Kombat Tournament by Shang Tsung. Johnny Cage had watched the fight and congratulated Art after their encounter on the way to Shang Tsung's island.
