Al'Sheva was the former queen of the Kytinn. During her time of reign, the Kytinn were the dominant insectoid race in Outworld, before their defeat at the hands of Shao Kahn. After this, her own servants killed her in cold blood and kept her face as a warning to all future queens: that they must protect the Hive from danger or face the consequences.
