Tim

"There are some who call me...'Tim'."

Tim: There!
King Arthur: What, behind the rabbit?
Tim: It is the rabbit!
King Arthur: You silly sod!

Tim the Enchanter is a character in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, portrayed by John Cleese. He is a mysterious enchanter who is capable of conjuring fireballs with his long wooden staff and even with his bare hands. He wears a black and red robe, and a skullcap with horns on it. King Arthur and his knights, informed by an old man that Tim knows where the grail is hidden, travel to Tim to ask him to help in their quest.

When Arthur and his knights finally find Tim, the enchanter, he is standing on a mountain conjuring fireballs. When Tim sees that he has "visitors", he goes to Arthur and his knights, who ask him for help. After conjuring many fireballs and accidentally frightening the knights several times, Tim finally reveals that there is a cave where the location of the grail is written on the wall. However, that cave is guarded by a terrible monster. The knights travel with Tim to the cave, but find no terrible monster there, only a simple rabbit. Tim says that the rabbit is the monster and warns the knights not to attack it, but they scoff at his warning and attack it anyway, and lose three of their knights, who are actually beheaded by a single bite from the killer rabbit. Tim crows sneeringly that he told them, before leaving the knights and presumably returning to his home.
