The Marauder was the ship captained by the Kate Pryde the Red Queen.[1] The Marauder was part of the Hellfire Trading Company's original fleet along with The Mercury and The Upstart.[2]

History

Constructed in London, the Marauder was the ship and primary residence of Captain Kate Pryde, the Red Queen of the Hellfire Trading Company, and her Marauders.[3]

During the Hellfire Gala, the Shi'ar gifted a cache of logic diamonds to the mutants of Krakoa. Emma Frost asked her brother Christian to deliver the logic diamonds to the cradles on Krakoa with the Marauder.[4] En route to Krakoa, the Marauder was attacked by Solem, the logic diamonds were stolen, and Christian was thrown overboard and left for dead. Severely damaged, the Marauder appeared off the coast of Madripoor where Wolverine and Emma Frost began investigating the attack and theft.[5]

Marauder No More

With the Marauder beyond repair, Captain Pryde adopted the Mercury as her new ship and renamed it the New Marauder.[6]

Weapons

The Marauder was armed with various weapon systems, including a multi-barrel Close-In Weapon System (CIWS), forward dual-guns, and a larger three gun turret.[1]

Notes

  • The CIWS appears to be a model of the Phalanx system, which is the standard CIWS on American capital ships.
