The original Vision is a Synthezoid built by Ultron and Phineas T. Horton using parts of the original Human Torch, and later rebuilt.

Vision also may refer to a Synthezoid built using the Iron Lad Armor with the programming of the original Vision, and could also refer to Aarkus the "Keeper of Laws" on Smokeworld. Aarkus was created by Carl Burgos and Paul Gustavson, first appearing in Marvel Mystery Comics #13 (1940). Vision was created re-envisioning the concept by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, first appearing in Avengers #57 (1968).
