History

Following the terraformation of Mars to house the mutant population of Arakko,[5] Storm joined both the Great Ring of Arakko as its regent and the Galactic Council as the voice for the Solar System, working closely with S.W.O.R.D.'s Commander Abigail Brand.[6] Brand had plans to control matters on Planet Arakko with a new team of X-Men of Mars, a.k.a. X-Men Red, inviting Storm to lead them. Rejecting the proposition, a concerned Storm joined Sunspot in approaching Magneto and the Arakkii Fisher King in the Autumn Palace to form a Brotherhood in order to oppose Brand's X-Men.[2]

In order to gain influence, the X-Men of Mars went to field to fight the Progenitors in the settlement of the Morrowlands and defend the Arakkii in order to spread their influence. The Brotherhood of Arakko intervened, gaining support from the villagers to stop the Progenitors and cementing the rivalry between both teams of mutants.[1] Escalating tensions, Brand schemed to place the X-Man Vulcan as her agent on the Great Ring by facing Tarn the Uncaring, but Sunspot manipulated Magneto into ultimately taking Tarn's Seat of Loss after Vulcan died. During the ordeal, Storm invited Khora of the Burning Heart to join the Brotherhood while Sunspot was murdered by Isca the Unbeaten for having tricked her into ensuring Magneto's victory.[4] Upon resurrecting on Krakoa, Sunspot was welcomed by Wrongslide, a flawed resurrection of Rockslide. As Wrongslide was a haunting ghost of Rockslide's existence on Krakoa, Sunspot invited him to join the Brotherhood in Arakko.[7]

When the Eternal Uranos assaulted Planet Arakko using his arsenal, Magneto confronted him directly beside Brand and the Great Ring, while Sunspot, Khora, and Wrongslide joined the Arakkii in protecting the Argyre Planitia from a self-replicating machine army.[8]
