Oooh, spooky, Tim Apple.

We’ve been expecting an Apple Event announcement, and now it’s official. Invites went out today for an event on October 30 at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Yes, that’s the day before Halloween, and it’s also not the usual time for the company to hold a release event. It could be themed with ghouls, goblins, and witches, or maybe just Tim Apple in a field, like every other event.

We expect this event to show off the newest Macs powered by the M3 chip. We’re not entirely sure about other devices, but it could refresh most of the MacBook line.

New Apple Macs are coming as a Halloween treat

In case you need any more convincing that this will be a Mac event, going to the Apple Events page should dispel any doubts.

The animation is of the Apple logo morphing into the Mac Finder icon from macOS, all but confirming the contents of the event.

The Finder logo is also close enough to a Jack ‘o Lantern face, which is good because the event is on the night before Halloween. Will we get some tricks to go with our treats?

Expect to see the 24-inch iMac refreshed with the M3 chip and maybe new upgraded displays. We could also see the 13- and 15-inch Macbook Air models with the new chip and the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Whatever is shown off, we won’t have long to wait. The Apple Event is on October 30, at 5:00 p.m. PT or 8:00 p.m. ET.
