This initiative aimed at equipping secondary school students with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the digital financial landscape. The 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 had the pleasure of supporting IFEC to organize a half-day event at HKUST on 23 March. The participants began their day with a campus tour led by HKUST’s Business Student Ambassadors, then were given an introduction of the Business School by Prof. Kam Wing SIU, Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs, during which he highlighted the advantages of pursuing a business education at HKUST. Afterwards, students enjoyed a captivating seminar on 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩 delivered by Prof. Simon Au Yeung, Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of Information Systems, to learn about blockchain and its impact on finance. A panel discussion with Prof. AU YEUNG, Mr. Allen PakChing Lau of ONEFi Financial Technology and Mr. Edurado CHIU of the Consumer Council delved into important topics including investing in cryptocurrencies, utilizing AI for financial management, and safeguarding web privacy.
