We are currently doing a systems review of our 1:1 Consultation Programme. During this period, applications for the 1:1 Programme are closed to the public.

Hatch graduates (founders who have taken part and completed a Hatch cohort programme) can still access the 1:1 Consultations through Circle, our graduate platform.

We appreciate your understanding as we work on enhancing our services.

The following organisations offer free business coaching and mentoring for businesses operating in the UK:

Hatch’s 1:1 Consultations programme matches entrepreneurs with skilled volunteers from our partner organisations. Share your business challenge with us and we will find a volunteer who can support you in a one-hour session to talk through the challenge and create practical steps to reach your business goals.

The areas our volunteers are currently available to support include business strategy, marketing, operations, finances, branding, communications, legal, sales, partnerships, HR and IT systems.

We have temporarily paused applications for new support requests while the team are on annual leave and we will reopen applications in mid-October. If you would like to receive an email notification when applications are reopened, please leave your details here.

*Please note, due to high demand there may be some delays in processing your application.

After my session with Lori, I was more confident to put myself out there as a founder. We discussed everything from website building to fears and rejections as a business owner. Weeks after the session, she emailed me with an article about finding a brand’s tone and it was really helpful

Frequently asked questions

Once you submit your request, we aim to put you in touch with the volunteer within one month. Please note this can often be shorter depending on your request and our volunteers’ capacity.

Once we’ve found a volunteer who can support you, we will introduce you via email so you can liaise directly to book a time for your session. Please note you will have two weeks to book a session once you have had the introduction email. Once this time has passed, you will no longer be able to receive support from the volunteer.

There is currently no limit on the number of requests you can make to be matched with a volunteer, however, you are only able to submit one request at a time and will be matched with another volunteer once you have completed your 1-hour session with a volunteer you are currently matched with.

For this programme, sessions will only last for 1 hour with the volunteer you are matched with. We recommend submitting a request which may be covered in an hour session.

On occasion, this may happen, and we will let you know as soon as possible if this occurs. We aim to contact you and talk through your request to see the areas the volunteers who are currently available are able to support you with a 1-hour session.

Yes, all volunteers agree to keep all information shared in the support sessions confidential.
