THE PIXEL HUNT

There are not many prizes for mobile gaming that are more prestigious than the Apple Design Awards. There are not many categories in awards in general that make more sense for the games THE PIXEL HUNT makes to be nominated in than "Social impact". You can thus imagine how pleased I am to announce that The Wreck is nominated in Apple's 2024 Design Awards, in the "Social Impact" category! https://lnkd.in/gG3j5euX On a more personal note, I try to imagine games that speak to everyone, not just the "hardcore gamers" demographic, and I think mobile is an awesome platform to achieve that. Releasing The Wreck on iPhones wasn't an obvious decision to make - it was a lot of work and not the safest commercial bet, considering the game's nothing like what the competition has accustomed mobile players to - but I'm very glad we did.

I just learned that our latest game, The Wreck, was nominated for Excellence in Narrative at the Independent Games Festival. I imagine it's not particularly telling for some of you, so let's say it's the video games' equivalent of... Sundance, maybe? In a word, I'm super happy, very proud of the team's work, and turbo grateful to my dear sister Coralie Maurin who helped me bring this story to fruition.
