Le 25 juin dernier, la Direction Générale de la Documentation et de l’Immigration gabonaise a débuté la campagne de délivrance de la Carte Nationale d'Identité Électronique.
Ainsi, le Gabon offre à ses citoyens non seulement un document physique ultra sécurisé, mais également une identité numérique régalienne, conforme aux plus hauts standards de sécurité, embarquant notamment une signature électronique.
Cela marque une étape clé dans la transformation numérique du Gabon.
Et je me réjouis de l’honneur qui nous a été fait de participer à ce virage numérique.

Today is a special day: following my appointment by the President of France as CEO of IN Groupe, I will be stepping down as eu-LISA’s Executive Director.
As my tenure comes to an end, I’d like to thank each of you who have supported me and our work at the Agency.
I’d also like to take a moment to reflect on the Agency’s exceptional journey, the remarkable work completed and most rewarding results we have achieved. We have strived towards excellence to deliver our mission and are now recognised for it. We have innovated and created new ways of working and tangibly contributed to Europe.
Indeed, the achievements are impressive, and I’d like to remind just of the “tip of the iceberg”:
✅ With the start of my tenure we embarked on a new strategy, the 3-Rs (Remobilise, Resolve, Renew), that has been the pillar of our success and gave renewed energy to the EU’s new Smart Borders
✅ We put things back on track with developing the Entry/Exit System (EES) – the world’s most advanced border management system
✅ We restored a clear and realistic Interoperability Roadmap, outlining the route ahead for the digitalization of the EU’s Justice and Home Affairs (JHA), unanimously approved by the JHA Council of Minsiters
✅ We initiated new ways of working in eu-LISA, harnessing the power of transversality and togetherness
✅ While doing all of that, we sustained exceptional levels in delivering our service to our customers
✅ We reached exceptional levels of achievement in our financial and corporate KPIs and obligations
✅ We put eu-LISA on the map, where it belongs, raising significantly our credibility with all our partners
✅ This led to a significant expansion of eu-LISA’s activity portfolio, in particular through the new EURODAC
Together with the real Stars of eu-LISA, 🌟 its people 🌟 we fostered confidence and built a foundation of strong leadership. I thank each one of them for their trust.
I also thank our partners from Member States, EU Commission, EU Institutions and other EU Agencies for their confidence in me, and for their sustained commitment to our work. It is only through strong partnership and close cooperation that I have been able to lead our joint mission.
From a personal point of view, leading eu-LISA has been more than a professional endeavour; it has been a deeply rewarding journey, that has allowed me to live a true “Gandhi moment” by contributing to being the change and growth, I want to see in the world by large, helping organisations and people be the better versions of themselves in service of greater cause and societies through digital.
As I turn to the next chapter, I am fully convinced that the future is bright for eu-LISA. Our important work has laid the strong foundations that will now allow the Agency, well-energised and fully capable, to continue with confidence on its ambitious course 🚀
Here’s to the continued success of eu-LISA and of eu-LISA’s people, the real stars of the Agency 💫
