Regarding Server Congestion Status (Jun. 28)
Thank you for playing FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail.
Since the start of early access on Friday, June 28, 2024, we have been experiencing extraordinary player counts, but the logins have been exceptionally smooth thus far due to our data center expansions, additional Worlds, and improvements to server performance.
However, we are noticing concentrated logins on certain Worlds which are beginning to reach their login capacity, particularly the Worlds on the Aether Data Center (North American DC) and the Phoenix World on the Light Data Center (European DC).
The login queues are stable, and although they may appear to be moving slowly or the countdown numbers may not seem to be progressing, we have confirmed the queue is steadily moving forward as intended. Should you run into a long login queue, please consider logging into a relatively less congested World via Data Center Travel or the World Visit System.
As we recently announced, congestion measures are temporarily in place for Data Center Travel and the World Visit System. Please refer to the following announcement for further details regarding these temporary measures.
