Revert additions to the list

[edit]

Thanks for adding and expanding the politician lists at WP:MEA. However, I reverted your addition to the missing article infobox, because there are over 40 projects listed and to help keep focus on Main project and thus the amount of linked projects on the template has been kept fairly low. There are many active subprojects including a few that I created but not all are listed. Please make suggestions for changes at the main talk page. Thanks. --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 03:04, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again for the lists of politicians. Will you continue to add to this list or is it relatively stable? The reason I ask is that I would like a starting/initial number for the main WP:MEA page and the progress page. Thanks! --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 20:00, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very much done with every page, except for Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/American politicians 2, which will be for all current state senators, federal district judges, mayors of cities with over 250,000 people in city limits, and current state representatives in the smaller Houses. Go ahead. Thanks. Adniel 01:07, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

[edit]
Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article (s) Akira Machida and Chief Justices of Japan, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Missing Politicias lists

[edit]

Greetings, Adniel. I have some questions about the various lists of missing politicians. Is the list of governors complete? How about the list of Representatives - which states are complete and which are not? And how about the other lists? Thanks, – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 20:32, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will add this list to our to-dos at the new German Wikipedians' notice board. I have my private version of the Cabinet-level ministries and ministers on my user page and would be (obviously) interested in helping with these. I am not quite certain what the perfect names for the ministry articles should be and whether "Ministry of Foo" and "Minister of Foo" should be merged. Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Participant alert regarding Wikiproject on Advertising

[edit]

The Wikiproject No Ads, created as a backlash against the Answers.com deal, has served an important function in providing a space for users to express their disagreement with the Foundation proposal. While the current controversies about userboxes raise questions about political and social advocacy on Wikipedia, there should be greater flexibility regarding advocacy about Wikipedia in the Wikipedia namespace. Reported and linked by Slashdot and other press sources as a unique and spontaneous occurence in Wikipedia history, it has apparently had some impact as, despite being scheduled to begin in January, not a peep has been heard about the trial and proposed sponsored link since the deal's controversial announcement months ago. Currently, however, there is an attempt to delete the project or move it off Wikipedia altogether. Since the Foundation has provided no additional information and has not attempted to answer the specific questions that participants in the project raised, it is unclear if the Answers.com deal has been abandoned or simply delayed. Until the situation becomes more clear, I believe the group should still have a place in the Wikipedia namespace. Sincerely, Tfine80 00:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Featured Article Help Desk/Requests

[edit]

Hi,

I put a request for help to get an article (Chew Valley Lake) onto Wikipedia:Featured Article Help Desk/Requests - does that mean that everyone thinks it's already great & doesn't need any improvement or that no one has looked at the requests yet & I just need to be more patient? Yo. I'm an editor on WP:MEA, and was working through the es→en list when I came across your note on kana. I think it is truly exelent that their are people out there with enough initative to start something like this and perhaps when I am more familair with the process, I will join you. Perhaps though, you should consider changing the waiting time for help from 1-2 Days to an indefinte period. If you need help with any less complicted work, don't feel any hesitation to ask me. Fair use rationale for Image:Akira_Machida.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Akira_Machida.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 10:32, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Hase_Colletto_Fava.jpg

[edit]

I have tagged Image:Hase_Colletto_Fava.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Rettetast 15:35, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Akira Machida.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Akira Machida.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chris Btalk 19:30, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Colletto Fava

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Colletto Fava. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Colletto Fava. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Split of Indian subjugation from Arizona Territory

[edit]

I see that you wrote most if not all of the content about the subjugation of Native Americans in the Arizona Territory. It formed more than 3/5 of the article content, giving it undue weight relative to the entire article. I have split the information on Indian subjugation off into its own article, Arizona settlement and Indian subjugation. I see you have not been active on WP for some time, but if you care to improve the newly split article, it has no citations at all and needs improvement. — btphelps (talk) (contribs) 21:52, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. File source problem with File:Nohistory.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Nohistory.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
