Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. Aerial photos

[edit]

Here's how to add links to aerial photos (example given is New York City Hall):

  1. Find the location on Google Maps.
  2. Click "link to this page" ([1]).
  3. Find the "ll" (latitude and longitude) parameter in the URL (40.713315,-74.005583).
  4. Round the figures to the lowest precision possible while staying on the object (40.7133,-74.0056).
  5. Take those numbers and plug them into one of the coordinates templates. In this case, we use {{Geolinks-US-buildingscale|40.7133|-74.0056}}:

40°42′48″N 74°00′20″W / 40.7133°N 74.0056°W / 40.7133; -74.0056

This goes into the "external links" section of the article. --NE2 21:45, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
