Requested move 1 September 2017

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: not moved. Per nose count, these are about even, but the arguments presented at the other RM linked here are strong, and were referenced by editors, so I think that swings the policy based argument here to a clearer "not moved", at the very least for the sake of consistency. Template:VikingsTemplate:Vikings (TV series) – This template should be moved to match the title of the main article Vikings (TV series), since this template is not about the primary topic Vikings. It should become consistent with the main article of its topic. This will clear the location for use for templates related to the primary topic Vikings -- 70.51.46.15 (talk) 05:36, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Striking attempt at !vote stacking. As has already been explained: if you were a neutral editor who had not participated in the issue previously, you may !vote on it, but this discussion is directly a result of your intervention, and hence you are directly involved in it and your views are clear. -- AlexTW 07:55, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Any additional comments:
  • Comment I don't see why there's a problem with using "Vikings" to represent the primary topic of Vikings, instead of a TV show. Wikipedia is not IMDB, so the primary topic should be able to use the template name that matches the name of the article on Wikipedia. -- 70.51.46.15 (talk) 05:38, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Can't the template concerning the Viking age be renamed to Viking Age as that is what is printed as the primary subtitle to all those related topics? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:14, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
