"Region 1" vs pre-DVD

Region coding is a concept that originated with and is limited to DVD and Blu-ray. There are articles linked here, however, for entities that were dissolved long before the advent of these formats, e.g. Vestron Video (which ceased in 1992), CBS/Fox (not used since 1995), Walt Disney Classics (1994), and Magnetic Video (1982). I'd like to suggest removing any labels that were totally non-existent by the debut of DVD in 1997, or that were never used on DVD at all. PacificBoy 22:37, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
