Software

[edit]

Shouldn't only Apple/stock applications be listed on the navbox? It seems arbitrary to be listing other software on there. Brianreading (talk) 04:37, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If nobody seems interested, I will make the edit soon. Brianreading (talk) 20:23, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FaceTime

[edit]

Is FaceTime an app? It looks like its just a button in the call app, then boom there is a video call. Can we move it from "apps" to "software" in the template? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.173.251.197 (talk) 04:40, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, it's now a separate app on iPod touch and iPad. ––  76.10.241.86  Talk  Contribs  22:29, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

iPod Touch 1st - 4th generation

[edit]

There is a page for iPod Touch (5th generation) but the absence of links in this template to the earlier generations really sticks out. I'm adding anchored links to the earlier generations on the iPod Touch page. Mackerm (talk) 23:30, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to "Contacts" points to macOS page...

Yes, it goes to the "Contacts" section of a page called "List of macOS components". Why is this a problem? Guy Harris (talk) 11:02, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Hardware section lacks entries for the Apple Watch Series 5 and the fourth generation iPad Pro. Thanks! 93.42.68.194 (talk) 21:35, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Add touch failure from iPhone 6 to controversy. 108.185.119.98 (talk) 17:47, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. JTP (talkcontribs) 17:54, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance of having "audioOS" in the table?

[edit]

The HomePod article doesn't mention anything about audioOS and it even having that name. So it makes me question the notability of it being listed at all in the template. watchOS, tvOS, etc make sense, because they're relatively important operating systems that are used on products that Apple has sold tens of millions of. But audioOS isn't mentioned at all under the HomePod article, so I think it should be removed, there's no sources or anything confirming that that is indeed the name of the operating system, plus if I recall correctly, the HomePod's firmware was swapped over to being based on tvOS as of the 13.4 release. - Kamran Mackey (talk to me · my contributions) 20:50, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please split the link for the Apple TV 4K into separate ones for the 2021 version and the 2017 version. Thank you! 93.44.108.28 (talk) 14:05, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: The articles for these products have not yet been created, however I did add them into the navbox as anchor links to the "Apple TV" article. TGHL ↗ 18:54, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please add 15 to the right of 14 in the OS section of software and 15 to the right of 14 within the brackets of iPadOS in the Derived from iOS section within the OS section of software? Both 15s need to be in italic to help indicate they have been officially announced as upcoming software by Apple. 149.167.141.95 (talk) 10:39, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

iOS 15 was released on September 20, so the italic font should be removed 93.42.68.248 (talk) 21:41, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done - and for iPadOS 15 as well. Guy Harris (talk) 22:33, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
