Ted Wang is an American venture capitalist and lawyer. He is a partner at Iconiq Growth, the venture capital division of Iconiq Capital.
Life
[edit]Wang holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.[citation needed]
Before his career in venture capital, Wang was one of the country's leading startup lawyers[1] and a partner at the technology law firm Fenwick & West for over a decade. He served as outside counsel to various successful venture-backed technology companies, including Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Square, Spotify, Gusto, Stripe, and Wealthfront.[2][3][4] Wang was recognized for his contributions to the legal field, including the creation of the open-source Series Seed Documents in 2010, with the help of Marc Andreessen.[5][6][7][8]
He is a partner at Iconiq Growth, the venture capital division of Iconiq Capital. He is a board partner at Cowboy Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund based in the Bay Area.[2][3] Wang invests in both enterprise software and consumer facing technology companies and has investments in companies such as Drata, SVT Robotics, Vic.ai, Lumatax, Fullcast.io, and Aura Health. He also assisted companies in understanding the metrics needed to achieve Series A and Series B financing.[9][10]
