Was the city of Florence taken by Spanish or Papal troops? There are conflicting accounts on Wikipedia ProfNax (talk) 22:39, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable references

[edit]

Almost every citation is from a single commentator, Strathern. 124.180.172.148 (talk) 03:52, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

the references are questionable. Tone is to essay style. --Auntieruth55 (talk) 22:51, 20 June s2009 (UTC)

Agreed. Added some solid references & started to rework some sections. Drterno (talk) 00:31, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Demography

[edit]

Are there any historical statistics on how many people lived in the area? - Yorkshirian (talk) 11:50, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Islam???

[edit]

Isn't mentioning islam in the info box quite ridiculous? This far north? Was there any mosque in medieval Florence? --Isidoros47 (talk) 00:05, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possible typo

[edit]

"Alessandro de'Medici was created Duke of Florence" The language here seems incorrect. "Crowned", maybe?

The article recommends going to the "Duchy of Florence" page but that page redirects us here. So this page redirects to itself. What happened? I'm not a historian, only a researcher so I can't help. Experts of Florence unite!

Hi User talk:Metro man 27, are you interested in pursuing this even though you didn't contribute to the article? The article still has a lot of unsourced parts. It also needs copyediting.--Carabinieri (talk) 23:11, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to go ahead and close this.--Carabinieri (talk) 23:30, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
