MISS POTTER. - **1/2 (PG). Two-thirds compelling love story, one-third Wikipedia entry. Chris Noonan's biographical drama about Peter Rabbit creator Beatrix Potter is perfectly cast with Renee Zellweger and Ewen McGregor, but it loses its focus long before the end. - J.M.

Warne cause of death

[edit]

According to the Frederick Warne & Co. website, Norman Warne died of pernicious anaemia. I feel they are an accurate source, being the same organization for whom Norman worked, so I'm changing this sentence: "Warne died of leukemia, not a cough." to reflect that.Estreya 19:11, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unitarian Christmas?

[edit]

I have been told that the film is inaccurate in its portrayal of the Beatrix's Christmas celebrations as she was a Unitarian. Although a quick websearch shows that some do celebrate Xmas, I'd question whether it was a particularly "traditional" one given their beliefs, i.e. no virgin birth, Jesus isn't God etc. I wanted to put this on the article, but can't find decent sources for the claim. --ImpartialCelt 16:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unitarians generally celebrate Christmas as depicted in the film and pretty much the same as anybody else. Virgin birth or not, unitarian versus trinitarian disputes are not related to the mostly pagan holiday Christmas with its tree and exchange of gifts. I have edited the remark, for more info see http://www.fusn.org/pages/sermons05-06/sermon127.htmlElemming 18:12, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
