No DOS card Quadra?

[edit]

I remember my ex-wife (then girlfriend) bought a 650 Quadra with a little inheritance she got, and intentions of becoming a freelance editor. I dissuaded her form getting the DOS card option (486 chip on the Nubus card, I think) Shortly after getting the Quadra, she felt her business was failing and I was wishing I learned DOS to be better employed and get a job with health insurance. She made the first suicide attempt in our relationship at the time, so I remember it well, the DOS Card Mac is tied with so many regrets, and I also I will refrain from signing this for- reasons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.120.37.128 (talk) 17:31, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Onboard RAM

[edit]

Most 650s came with 8MB onboard. I thought it was all machines that had ethernet and a full 68040 had 8MB, but the maths for the 24MB option listed wouldn't make sense. I suspect someone may have already rationalised the number assuming 4MB onboard. I have a Centris 650 with 8MB onboard and seeing one with 4MB is the exception, not the norm. Options for need verifying and correcting in this article. Phipli, 22 Feb, 2023 2A00:23C7:BF95:D801:A577:4DF8:F27D:4F70 (talk) 08:49, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It appears the Macworld source agrees with you; I've made a few changes. Thanks you very much for pointing this out. Best, DFlhb (talk) 20:21, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
