St. Petersburg is the fifth largest city in Florida with a population of 258,308 as of 2020. As of 2024, the city is home to 64 completed high-rises, out of which 8 are over 100 metres (330 ft) tall.[1]

One St. Petersburg is currently the tallest building in the city since 2009 at 139 metres (456 ft). Bayfront Tower was the first to surpass the 100 metres (330 ft) makr. Priatek Plaza, built in 1990, held the record for the tallest building in the city for 29 years, before being surpassed by One St. Petersburg. Signature Place, currently the fourth tallest building on the city at 116 metres (381 ft), has been credited for being a major transition in St. Petersburg modern architecture and surviving the 2008 housing market crash.[2]

St. Petersburg has recently seen an economic boom in luxury condos dating from the 1990s to early and late 2000s. The combination of tourism and wealthy residents attracted wanted large and mid sized condominiums.[3][4][5]
