  Pros

  If you're not an audio engineer, say more of a creative type but not necessarily having great audio production skills, this more or less does the work for you. Very cool utility that's very easy to use.

  Cons

  It CAN heighten unwanted audio artifacts. After "Levelating" a voiceover, I always listen to it all the way through as you may encounter an occasional "blip" post process.

  Summary

  I was turned on to this by an LA voiceover guy who is crazy talented. In his words, "I don't send out any audtions until I run them through The Levelator."

  ...utility!<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is one of those great utilities that does only one thing and does it exceedingly well. It takes your audio with varying levels and evens it out. This is particularly great for dialogue from multiple sources, which is rarely recorded perfectly. The only thing that would make this better is an audio unit plugin version, so I could run it directly from within any of my audio editing applications.
