Privacy Eraser Free lets you clean up computer and Internet data that may compromise your security. The software is easy to use out of the box, and it works with several browsers.

Pros

Goes to work fast: Privacy Eraser Free opens with immediate options to scan and clean your computer. You can opt for a Quick Clean, Clean & Restart, or Clean & Shut Down. It pulled up information from all three browsers we have -- Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome -- as well as Windows-related data that includes temporary files, Recycle bin, and Start Menu run history.

Safe default settings: By default, the app is preset to remove certain items from your browsers -- such as Internet cache, history, and cookies -- and from Windows itself. It doesn't, however, automatically delete autocomplete data or passwords. You can also get rid of everything easily by modifying settings, if you so choose.

Attractive interface and extras: It may not help with the software's functionality, but the well-designed interface makes it easy to initiate scans, adjust settings for specific areas such as Browsers, and access the two extra privacy tools that will shred specific documents and wipe certain drive areas. During a scan, a progress bar lets you know how much of the scan is complete.

Cons

Somewhat redundant: Nearly all browsers have options to remove browsing history or delete cookies, and you can always find a clean-up to remove certain Windows files, but Privacy Eraser Free pulls them all together in one place.

Bottom Line

While you may be able to perform most of what Privacy Eraser Free does on your own, it will take you much longer to do than the software. With this app, you can click once and forget it, making it more likely that you'll remove all of the traces from your system and browsers that you don't want.

I AM AFRAID TO USE IT NOW....SINCE IT TWICE HAVE CHANGED MY WIN 10 INTO A HEAVY DUDE,,MEANING MY BROWSER WORKS STRANGE AND VERY SLOW AND SOME OTHER SETTINGS ON WIN IS ALSO INTERFERED WITH.

Pros
Far better than CCleaner. A quick clean takes about 30 seconds, it finds more junk and has better settings than CCleaner does.
Cons
The File shredder and Drive wiper are limited to 1 pass only in the free version. On my 10 inch netbook the UI is too large for the screen, hiding the toolbars and the taskbar, so it can only be closed via the task manager. I resized it a couple of times, but after each bootup it would be too big again. On my desktop pc sometimes the application would not open, not from a shortcut nor from the .exe, and my only solution was to uninstall and reinstall it. It could be fine for 2 or 3 days, or just for a few hours only. I sent a contact form to Support but there has been no response (to date). Eventually I had had enough and I reluctantly returned to using CCleaner on both machines.
Summary
I would use Privacy Eraser Free in preference to CCleaner if only it worked properly for me. Updated on Jan 17, 2018Edit: I forgot to add that I finally uninstalled it for good because the Quck Clean would continually stick at 23% and then the program would crash.

I have been using other privacy erasers however i recently tried Privacy Eraser & now have signed up for a full lifetime licence, this product is fantastic, its easy to use, does a great job & i can only recomment

My computer for a year was running slow and I had tried some free disk cleaning programs to speed things up but they didn't work. I invested just $20 on Privacy Eraser and it's like I have a new computer. Plus I have the peace of mind knowing my computer is safe and secure.
