• Excellent Program to Merge PLhotos

  Pros

  ICE has been used to stitch 35 photos of an industrial plant into one gorgeous whole. It stitched four photos of an Old Faithful geyser eruption in Yellowstone into a dramatic whole. All in all, an unbelievable program. It will merge vertically, horizontally, and whatever. Their web site has a demonstration where 200 individual photos automatically stitched into a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge. My results have always been equal in quality to the originals.

  Very fast, very easy

  Cons

  The program compresses images before it stitches leaving the end result a tiny version of the original. My results were fuzzy and pixelated. Any amount of zooming instantly exposed the issue. Printing a pano any larger than 2 or 3 inches in height (length depends on shot) would not produce useable results.

  Summary

  I guess it would be useful for stitching low quality photos together, the end result being used exclusively online. Anyone expecting print-worthy images from this program will be very disappointed.
