Apple watch started alerting of loud sound level over 100db many times a day, when there were none.

Can not reproduce, only wait until alerted. Cannot seem to find the settings to verify whether a switch got set wrong or with the wrong threshold.

Which Apple Watch are you using?

Did your watch come in contact with water?

Did you already try to erase the watch and pair it again to your iPhone, setting it up as a new device, instead of using the latest backup?

Thanks for the info, I turned off the sound monitor when I posting this request, but just now turned it back on and my sound level is below 40db. Checking with the phone health app to see history and sure enough it registered above 100 db for several days couple days ago. the only thing i can surmise is that I was in a noisy environment and the app got stuck at the high level even though I was definitely not in a high noise area. Turning it off for a period helped.
