I was trying to download something but the app wouldn’t open so I gave the phone to a friend to try and I think she deleted the app or it disappeared

I am having the same issue. The app store icon is not on the home screen nor the app library on the ipad. I, too, have turned off all screen time on my daughter's iPad.
It has vanished from the home screen and App Library. I do see it in the setting, however.
I redownloaded my app store but when I clicked on it,it disappeared.I don’t know how to get it back.
I toggled content & privacy restrictions & it came back

Apple - there must have been a bad update with managed accounts, perhaps during 2024, because my son did have the App Store app on his phone previously.
All purchasing restrictions are marked as "allow."
We have "reset all settings" a bunch of times. His iOS is current.
Turning off "content and restrictions" is not a viable option for us.
I am having the exact same problem with my daughter's phone - it appears after changing itunes and appstore purchases - but then disappears, Same thing after turning off content restrictions and the turning back on.
Its there for a minute - I was able to open the app store on her phone, then it just disappeared while I was
in the app store.
Something similar happened to me with it disappearing. Try my solution above.
I have tried everything suggested and nothing is working. It seems like more people are reporting this same issue now so hopefully they will fix this
When you toggle off it comes back, when you toggle on it disappears again. It is my daughter’s iPad and I have restrictions on her iPad because of her age so turning it off isn’t an option for me

I was able to get the app store to show up with parental controls on by allowing install apps and delete apps

On our kids phone, we needed to accept a parental control notification at the top of settings to get the App Store back.
