𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳ü𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 In meiner heutigen Podcast Folge mit Björn Loose, Partner bei Cavalry Ventures und Jan Thomas von Startup Insider bespreche ich ein leider viel zu wenig beachtetes Thema: Cybersecurity für den deutschen Mittelstand! Durch den russischen Angriffskrieg auf die Ukraine und die Gefahr, die durch Russland für die Europäische Union ausgeht, muss sich die deutsche Wirtschaft noch viel stärker vor Wirtschaftsspionage und Cyberwarfare schützen. Bisher gab es schlichtweg kaum Lösungen für den deutschen Mittelstand, oder wenn sind sie zu teuer, oder die Notwendigkeit wurde nicht erkannt. Mit der Founders Foundation gGmbH arbeiten wir eng mit dem deutschen Mittelstand zusammen und kennen daher gut die Herausforderungen, die im Bereich Cybersecurity liegen. Zum Glück findet hier jetzt ein Umdenken statt und das Thema bekommt immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit! Konkret besprechen wir im Podcast Eye Security, ein Startup aus den Niederlanden im Bereich Cybersecurity, das eine Series-B-Finanzierungsrunde von 36 Millionen Euro unter Führung von J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners erhalten hat. Eye Security bietet deutschen Mittelstandsbetrieben umfassenden Schutz vor Cyberangriffen. Allein der deutsche Markt für Cybersecurity hat aktuell ein Volumen von 10 Milliarden Euro, der Europäische Markt eines von 34 Milliarden Euro. Bis 2029 prognostizieren Experten für Deutschland ein Marktvolumen für Cybersecurity Lösungen für den Mittelstand von 18 Milliarden Euro. Für ganz Europa sogar ein Marktvolumen von 60 Milliarden. Die Situation ist für den Mittelstand deswegen auch dramatisch, wenn man sich vor Augen führt, dass 50% aller Cyberangriffe auf KMUs entfällt.
