🌟 This July, we're thrilled to spotlight one of our Consultant of the Month winners in the #US 🏆 "After joining FDM through the Veteran’s Program, equipped with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, my tech journey truly took off. My entrepreneurial spirit led me to dabble in startups and side hustles, where I discovered a natural affinity for SQL and other software tools to track revenue streams. My passion for tech flourished as I sought to make it a career. At FDM’s Skills Lab, I gained invaluable experience with tools like Excel, Jira, and Microsoft Power BI, which seamlessly transitioned to Tableau on client assignments. The greatest takeaway from FDM? The confidence to learn and master a variety of tools as needed. In my dynamic role at a global financial organization, I’m continually adapting and contributing. I'm excited about spearheading the integration of Power Automate in the Control Room, a Microsoft tool that automates business flows. Early results show significant time savings, cutting weekend shifts from 4 hours to just 1 hour. Each month, FDM recognises talented consultants on client assignments for their exceptional work. We are thrilled to announce one of our July Consultant of the Month winners in the #UK, Quynh An Le 🏆. "I graduated with a degree in International Relations from Queen Mary University of London. My interest in political risk led me to FDM's Risk, Regulation, and Compliance (RRC) programme. I joined FDM in January 2022 and trained as a Business Analyst in Regulatory Reporting. During my FDM upskilling, I gained foundational knowledge in business analysis, professional skills, Excel and VBA, and financial markets, which I've applied in my client role at an energy trading company. Additionally, FDM provided further training in JUnit Development and QA Testing, enhancing my technical skills and efficiency. Initially, I shadowed my senior BA and mentor, performing small tasks to familiarise myself with processes and systems. Over time, I've taken on more responsibility and am now one of the main BAs handling business-as-usual items and processes for my client’s new regulatory platform. In my current role, I work on projects involving various regulations (EMIR REFIT, FCA REFIT, MAS/ASIC REWRITE) to ensure the client stays compliant with regulatory changes. I gather business requirements, write user stories for the development team, ensure timely trade reporting, resolve database defects, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders. Some of my achievements include excelling in my show and tell assessment, presenting to fellow graduates and apprentices, and being recognised in the client’s internal recognition and awards scheme. I've also significantly grown my technical and domain knowledge in the regulatory reporting sector, despite coming from a non-technical background." #WeAreFDM #COTM

Pei Xuan Goh is one of our highly talented consultants currently on a client assignment. Her exceptional work has not gone unnoticed, earning her the title of #July Consultant of the Month for #APAC 👏. Pei Xuan graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology, achieving Second Upper Honours and honing her strong analytical skills. Her passion for tech led her to join FDM, transitioning from a background in business development and communications to a career in IT. In 2023, Pei Xuan joined FDM’s IT Operations Practice. During her training, she mastered troubleshooting and programming languages such as SQL, Unix, and Python. Soon after, she was assigned to a prestigious international client in the finance and banking industry. The Unix training at FDM equipped Pei Xuan with essential system administration and management skills. She regularly uses Unix commands for troubleshooting, and her knowledge of SQL and Python enables her to manipulate Splunk queries, analyze data, and identify issues. The focus on effective communication and teamwork during her coaching has also enhanced her ability to collaborate with her team effectively. While her core role has remained consistent, Pei Xuan has continuously expanded her expertise, handling more challenging incidents and further developing her technical skills. As an L2 Operational Support Analyst, she ensures the stability and performance of critical IT systems and applications through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions to maintain operational continuity. Pei Xuan's journey with FDM exemplifies her dedication to learning and excellence, making her a deserving recipient of this recognition. #WeAreFDM #COTM

Sujay Kumar Yeddu is one of our incredibly talented consultants who recently received recognition from his line manager for his outstanding work, earning him the title of #July Consultant of the Month for #Canada 👏. Sujay's journey began in India, where he completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering. His academic pursuits then led him to Cegep de la Gaspésie et des Îles College for Mobile Application Development. During his studies, he built a robust foundation in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++, and gained valuable hands-on experience through various projects. In 2022, Sujay joined FDM in the Software Development Practice. After completing his training, he was placed on a client assignment as an IT Consultant. He is currently excelling as a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE), leveraging the skills he acquired in FDM’s Skills Lab. Despite having prior programming knowledge, the coaching at FDM refined his expertise and sharpened his syntax skills. Sujay’s role has evolved significantly since he started with the client. Initially, he worked as a manual tester, learning the application inside out. Now, he focuses entirely on selenium automation, developing scripts and frameworks that enhance the efficiency of application testing. Sujay’s story is a testament to his dedication and growth, showcasing the impact of continuous learning and the opportunities provided by FDM. #WeAreFDM #COTM

Abbé Charlesworth, our Apprenticeship Mentoring Manager, was invited by the Department for Education to discuss bringing together UK employers to increase awareness of the Flexi Job Apprentice Agency Register. FDM as part of the register is fully supportive of this campaign and will be hosting an event in September at our London Centre.
