Braille
Braille is a tactile writing system used by people who are visually impaired. It uses special paper and normally does not have any ink printing on it. For print/mail applications we can include a page with the postal information printed in ink.
Accessible PDF
There are several types of accessible electronic document formats, PDF/UA, WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and HHS (Health and Human Services). The Accessible PDF output from AccessibilityNow platform can be WCAG 2.0, PDF/UA or HHS compliant to meet everyone’s needs.
HTML5
Accessible HTML5 can be used to produce accessible documents of any length and complexity level. With AccessibilityNow, the process of generating accessible document output can be automated, turning documents from PDF, AFP, PCL, PostScript and Xerox metacode into mobile-ready, responsive, compliant HTML5 for a variety of customer delivery channels to meet individual delivery preference needs.
Large Print
Often called Large Text, Large Print formats documents that meet the American Printing House (APH) guidelines and best practices. Fonts, font size, layout and color contrast all play a significant role in the accessibility of large print. AccessibilityNow can convert documents into Large Print for printing or digital delivery.
Audio
Audio media delivered on CD/thumb drive or as MP3 /.WAV files are made accessible via a human or computer-generated voice. Typically needed by people losing their vision, but also required by those with print-related disabilities such as dyslexia.
E-Text
E-Text is plain text delivered on a CD/thumb drive or as a text file. The E-Text is accessed via an E-Reader (text-to-speech) application and/or a refreshable braille display. End users can choose how to access the information.
