These proportions are a little heavy on the grape juice. I'll probably cut back a little bit on the juice next time.
No grape juice on hand, but it’s Christmas and have unsweetened cranberry juice. So, used 2 oz. cranberry (4 oz. juice seemed too much) and 1/2 oz. of simple syrup. Increased bourbon to 2 oz., too. Nice holiday drink.
Delicious holiday drink - I recommend upgrading to a blood orange and pure pomegranate juice. I did not change proportions.
Hmmmm. We made one with Bourbon, the other one with Brandy. The Brandy one is better, but it is still no revelation. We upped the juice and added fresh nutmeg, that's better.
Replaced the Concord grape with cranberry juice cocktail for a festive Holiday feel. DELISH. Followed the recipe exactly otherwise, it was a huge hit with my husband, a bourbon snob, as well as myself!
I used rye and 1 oz of blueberry juice - very well balanced with this formulation.
I followed another’s recommendation and bought tart cherry juice as well as grape juice. Tart cherry was much better, but as others have said, 1/2 the amount of juice.
We used tart cherry juice... worked perfect.y
1 3/4 oz of grape juice instead -- Perfecto!
I also recommend cutting the juicy in half.

This was my first attempt at becoming a cocktail maker! Great for a beginner--not too many expensive, unusual ingredients. Based on previous comments, used about 2 oz grape juice instead of 4. Don't overdo the bitters.
