How do I convert an Additional Scripts from Checkout into a pixel?

I'm stuck! Time is running short on converting our Additional Scripts at checkout to Shopify Customer Events / Pixels. 

TL:DR; How do I convert Additional Scripts to Pixels? Are there apps that can handle GTM in checkout better than the existing Additional Script? Is there a Shopify Expert who is well versed in switching over the Additional Scripts to Pixels and helping migrate to the new Thank You and Order Summary pages?

In our current setup, we have 5-6 Additional Scripts that are passed into the Checkout process. A couple of them are from installed apps, and the app developers are providing upgrades and migrating to pixels, so that's fine.

But, I have 3-4 more scripts that I don't know what to do with. One is a script provided by our ad firm. It's in the Additional Scrips box at the moment, but in a month, it will stop working and they're not sure what to tell me. 

Another one is a Google Tag Manager scripts. I've seen that Shopify has a tutorial on how to convert the GTM additional script to a Customer Event / Pixel, but the process seems daunting. Are there any other solutions? Some have suggested there may be apps that will handle the necessary GTM actions in checkout. Or, should I hire a Shopify Expert to try and move the GTM script to a pixel?

Then there are a few small items. I have an extra sentence that I wrote an Additional Script for that explains to customers that shipments may arrive separately if they come from multiple warehouses. It's not super important, but it's nice to have, but it's unclear how I can add that simple statement to checkout or the new thank you pages.

I was so happy do see an entire support forum on Checkout Extensibility, but it looks like it's all related to Shopify Plus, so no here there.

I can tell you, it's very daunting, I have been working on my scripts for many months.
