Wiki Management & Community Managment Advice
On the Wings of Fire Fanon wiki, you can see i have a message wall greeting. The button is there and i can edit it.
But on the dreamers of ink wiki, I don't have a message wall greeting?
There's no button or anything.... is there an option to turn this on? I'm an admin and bureaucrat so i suppose there must be some change in the settings??
Here's the link to the wiki if needed!

Thanks, everyone! (and sry for bothering you all ToT)
There's a user on my wiki (I'm an admin/co-founder) they keep harassing me and insulting me. The thing is they used to be my best friend, but I'm not sure whether I should block them or not! Would I be abusing my powers if I did? I don't know what to do. They'll certainly get more mad at me if I block them but they really are disturbing the wiki and making everyone feel stressed out.
There is a user on my wiki, the Bloxd.io wiki, often referred to as Cdog. We have banned him due to page greifing and other offsite offences, but he has repeatedly created alternate accounts, and it's getting annoying. Is there anything we can do about this?
On the Undertale Yellow Fandom, there's this user called SquirrelJuice who keeps adding false information, and creates fan pages for their OC, "Lily Ketsukane". I've tried reporting them to fandom, because that;s what you're supposed to do for wikis without moderators, but none of them have been answered. I'll leave a link to their profile.

I've noticed pages of pure fiction (though not labelled as such) for a particular music artist.
Namely, long, detailed pages about non-existent albums written in past tense as if those albums actually exist and were released. Up to including sales/streaming numbers, reviews, etc.
There are also pages about tours that never happened, including dates/cities/venues, revenue and ticket sale numbers, etc.
Perhaps this is supposed to be satire or a joke. But I've seen links to the album pages shared on social media by people who think they're legit, The artist hasn't released new music for a long time, so people are looking everywhere for any clues some might be forthcoming.
Thoughts? Perhaps I could make edits but I'm sure they'll simply be undone. Or is this sort of misinformation considered normal and acceptable on Fandom?
Say a wiki posts the logs of updates for a media it is based on every week. Not everyone would want to get an announcement ping every week for the update. Some might view the log elsewhere themselves, etc.
Some wikis do post update announcements because the updates are monthly or spaced out even further. Other wikis I’ve seen just collate a ping list and ping users who want to know about specific announcements.
Is there a way to easily notify a certain group of users of a post without having to make a long ping list of perhaps 50+ users and make sure it works every time an update has to be posted, and without having to create an announcement that notifies everyone, especially including ones who don’t want to be notified? Sort of like tagging a user group, except I don’t think theres a user group for specific announcements.
Correct me if I’m wrong about anything. Any insight is appreciated!
It's just a joke wiki dedicated to a silly drawing of an anthropomorphic penguin called "fart", (link is here: https://fart-the-penguin.fandom.com/f ) but someone posted a screenshot FROM that wiki saying something about me, and I REALLY don't like that. Please take this wiki down!
I administrate a wiki with many other admins *its a fanfic btw i dont found it* and a user *this was the second time* made a weird post in the off-topic category. What should i do?
If I had a wish, I would like to ask Fandom to bring back `WikiActivity`.
`RecentChanges` is fine but it's too laggy, complex, and not a good beginning for a newcomers. And it's only suitable for long-term editors. Why couldn't it be simple like `WikiActivity`? Why must it have query string after loading?
Just see how `WikiActivity` was doing well before termination. It loaded faster than `RecentChanges`. It did not require any advanced filters. It gave a basic interface, basic start, and only displayed basic things for visitors. They only wanted to see what changes had been happening in the articles and they even didn't care about templates, modules or other things but articles.
I know that posting here doesn't solve anything. But again, `WikiActivity` is still the best thing in Wikia/Fandom and the best exclusive feature that no other hosting wikis have. For the sake of God, please bring it back. 🙏
(The image below compares the interface between WikiActivity and RecentChanges)
How long do URL changes take because it says the site has been closed but it has been like that for 2 days and the new domain shows the same screen.
This is the bottom of this wiki's home page in this screenshot.
Do you need to ask an admin of the other wiki to put it in a footer that lists other wikis, like this? I wanted to put a footer like this in my own wiki too, but am scared that it is considered advertising at the same time.
I don't know what category this post should be in.
I want to confirm my email address, but nothing is sent in my email. I tried for days, but it wouldn't work. I read all the pages I could, but all of them said to check my email.
It’s exhausting having to delete them one by one
I made a wiki a few months ago and im currently trying to continue expanding it, but i cant find the wiki anywhere. i tried searching its url, but that came up with a completely different wiki and idk how to find it atp. my profile says i havent made any contributions so i cant find it through that, and the wiki search isnt bringing it up either. how do i find it?
I created a wiki, and I was the bureaucrat/admin. There are no mods/admins on the wiki besides me, but then I closed that account. I’m back on a new account but I need to get admin rights on the wiki and don’t know how I could get them if I don’t have that old account or any other admins. I don’t qualify to adopt the wiki as it is rather small, so how do I get it back?
New users on my wkki have a habit of necroposting on really old posts. It's really annoying. Is there anything that can be done?
I closed one of my accounts about 5 months ago, and now I’m back on this account, but after I left, I forgot to give the new account Bureaucrat on my wiki, and so now my wiki has no Admin/Bureaucrat. How can I get these back?
