Context

Din mai 2018, prin intrarea în vigoare a Regulamentului general privind protecția datelor, există un singur set de norme privind protecția datelor valabil pentru toate societățile care își desfășoară activitatea în UE, indiferent unde își au sediul.

Datorită normelor mai stricte privind protecția datelor,

  • persoanele au mai mult control asupra datelor lor
  • întreprinderile concurează de pe picior de egalitate

În iunie 2020, Comisia Europeană a publicat un raport de evaluare privind Regulamentul general privind protecția datelor (RGPD).

RGPD, o poveste de succes

După doi ani de la intrarea în vigoare a RGPD, regulamentul s-a dovedit a fi un real succes.

Background

As of May 2018, with the entry into application of the General Data Protection Regulation, there is one set of data protection rules for all companies operating in the EU, wherever they are based.

Stronger rules on data protection mean

  • people have more control over their personal data
  • businesses benefit from a level playing field

In June 2020, the European Commission published an evaluation report on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
