Will Canadian privacy regulations like CASL and Quebec's Law 25 decrease the ROI of email marketing? We asked Geoffrey Blanc, PMP, GM of Cyberimpact, a Canadian-born and grown email marketing tool operating out of Quebec since 2006. "The answer is yes. You saw it as soon as we implemented the cookie banner on websites. Every single company got a hit on their ROI, AdWords investment, and conversion. It’s just a question of getting used to it, finding new ways to revise their ROI. Companies with lots of data will need to revise how they will be using this data and mostly ask for proper consent in the future. You will see more and more companies trying to update their list through some consent campaigns and or validate the interest of those contacts to continue receiving emails. You will also see more and more personalization in order to get better ROI as lists are going to start shrinking. You will want to make sure that every email counts. And in order to do that you need to make sure you send the right content to the right person." To learn much, much more about Canadian marketing regulations and how to email your customers while respecting their data, check out the full interview (https://lnkd.in/gNqmzRFD) • What makes Canadian martech different • The realistic risk level to companies of not following Canada-specific email regulations • How to comply with CASL and Law 25 • And much more

SEO—it's pronounced dead every few years, yet here we are, with organic search going strong as a primary marketing channel. But are the current warning bells around AI and SEO different? That's what we'll be exploring this Tuesday at our event, moderated by Steve Toth of SEO IRL and featuring an expert panel: • Martin Dejnicki, Enterprise SEO Consultant at IBMAlina Benny, Head of Content at AuraCan Malay, Senior SEO Strategist Accenture Many experts are sounding the alarm that SGE will decrease opportunities for SEO, while others predict a shift from search engines to AI answer engines. Then, there are the changing economics of content creation, which leaves us with an industry in flux. This expert panel is dedicated to separating the hype from the reality, the panic from prudence, to approach a better understanding of the impact of AI on SEO. If you're an agency, SEO professional, or business that relies on organic traffic for revenue, this panel and networking event will help you assess whether you're strategically positioned for the wave of changes about to hit search engines. Make sure to purchase your ticket on Eventbrite: https://lnkd.in/gJzjKYZW Ticket includes free drinks and canapés.
