We've had another great week at Subble! This week we added some important integrations. Identity providers: We have now built out support for Microsoft Office 365. This adds to our existing Google Workspace integration giving us solid coverage across the two major identity players. Point integrations: We have just built the most powerful point integration yet in GitHub. This integration not only gives us login activity, but also a deep event stream so we can understand actual licence utilisation, not just how often accounts are accessed. Other enhancements: On top of this, we added several product and technical enhancements, like improvements to the user management page and invitation flow, performance enhancements, better feedback and loading states, improved verification emails, and more. Stay tuned for all the latest product improvements.

This week our CTO Jesse Duffield sat down with the legendary 'Uncle' Bob Martin, author of famous programming book Clean Code. The two spoke about nitty gritty software topics, as well as bigger-picture topics like professionalism in software engineering and artificial intelligence. Very engaging conversation, highly recommended! https://lnkd.in/gErr4h5D

Very excited to announce that Subble has been selected as a semi-finalist in the Australian Technologies Competition in the Fintech & Regtech category. It was a tough competition with 136 entries this year! The Australian Technologies Competition recognises, enhances the capabilities of and connects Australia's highest potential technology scaleups and SMEs with international investors and partners. This is the 14th year of the competition. Can't wait for the next round where we'll duke it out to secure a spot to pitch our product to a panel of judges for the category prize. #startup #awards #semifinalist #tech #technology #australia #fintech #regtech

Access management is NOT licence management TL;DR: just because you can automatically offboard someone, doesn't mean you're no longer paying for them. I have heard the same message from at least a dozen CFOs and CTOs over the last month. This is their biggest gap and it's killing them to fix. Let me explain. You're probably relying on access management tools like Microsoft (formerly AzureAD), Google Workspace, or Okta to control your software right? But you are still missing a crucial gap! Access management software is essential for security and time saving, but it does not help you with costs. Here's why: Let's say you offboard an employee using Okta. Great they can no longer log into your software like Figma or Assana, but unless you manually log into those applications yourself and remove the license, you're still footing the bill. Now think about the dozens of different pieces of software you have to do this for every time an employee leaves. It's just not feasible to do manually. So what's the cost? Companies waste about 20% of their total software expenses on unused products and licenses. For context, that's at least $200,000 for a 100-person org. What’s the Solution? To truly manage your software effectively, you need systems to track both access AND usage. Here’s what you can do: ⚡️ Automated License Management: Implement tools that automatically detect and remove unused licenses. ⏱️ Regular Audits: Conduct frequent reviews of your software usage to identify and eliminate waste. (this can be costly though, as pointed out our last post) 📉 Integrated Spend and Usage Tracking: Use solutions that provide visibility into both spending and software utilization to find the biggest cost savings. I'm sure you know how big the problem is, but we can help you with the solution. And guess what, our system takes less than 2 minutes to set up, with most customers finding thousands of dollars of wasted spend in their first 10 mins. How are you keeping track of software expenses in your business? A good option that a lot of companies are turning to is virtual cards. Some popular options include: 💳 Airwallex 💳 Weel 💳 Volopay 💳 Revolut This is a great solution to get visibility into your spending. Common structures would be spinning up 1 card per department or even 1 card per vendor. Whilst this is a good solution, it still leaves companies exposed. 20% of software expenses are wasted on unused products and licences. That’s tens of thousands of dollars lost annually. A better solution would be to track both spend and usage together. That way you get the same benefits of a virtual card, while only paying for the software you actually need. This is where we can help. Request a demo today.

    How exposed is your company?

Do you know what these companies have in common? 🕵🏻♂️ Apple 🕵🏻♂️ Tesla 🕵🏻♂️ Sage 🕵🏻♂️ American Express 🕵🏻♂️ Cash App That’s right, they have all had major data breaches from ex-employees 🎉 This is a huge problem. Over 80% of ex-employees still have access to some company software[1]. With the rate of turnover in recent years, it's worse now than ever. Companies are seriously sleeping on this threat! Having good processes in place is really only one piece of the puzzle. With the seemingly endless need for new software subscriptions these days, companies just can’t keep track of all of their software. It’s not just the big companies with this problem, everyone is at risk. 74% of employers have been negatively impacted by an employee breaching their digital security [1] and over 50% of employees admitted to stealing information from an ex-employer [2] (🤯 crazy, isn’t it?!). It’s time to get your security under control. This is something I am passionate about solving, I would love to speak to you if you want to address this problem in your company.
