More than 5.7 million Australians have tuned into SBS's broadcast of the 2024 Tour de France as Slovenian Tadej Pogačar dominates. SBS Director of Sport, Ken Shipp said: "This was our best coverage of the Tour de France yet, as proven by the incredible audience results we’ve seen. I’m proud of our excellent SBS team, both on camera and behind the scenes, for delivering consistently first-class coverage that captured all the stories, exhilarating moments and that tremendous performance by Tadej Pogačar. “Consumption of TDF content on our SBS social media channels in particular was sensational, with huge results from having a dedicated producer at the event for the first time.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/g3NvzMxQ

Earlier this week at SBS, we came together to make NAIDOC Week and celebrate being Blak, Loud and Proud across the network. We heard from Lowanna Grant, Presenter and Executive Producer of NITV Radio talking to Rhoda Roberts AO about her Elder in Residence Oration this year, Tanya Denning Orman, SBS Director of Indigenous Content, showcased our programming line-up keeping the fire burning all week, and Pete Ballard, SBS Indigenous Engagement and Partnerships Manager, spoke about how we're engaging with communities. We also welcomed artist, DJ and producer, Paul Gorrie, to our office in Naarm, to speak with Kerri-Lee Harding, Indigenous Lead for SBS Audio, about the music he created to help SBS and NITV bring this year's NAIDOC Week theme to life, and how his connection to Country and culture influences his work. #NAIDOC2024
