4 juveniles arrested for deadly East Salinas shooting
Salinas police announced on Wednesday that four juvenile suspects have been arrested for a deadly shooting that occurred on July 3. Police identified the victim of the shooting as Michael Frank Filomeno Cruz, 33. Cruz was shot and killed in front of a home on North Pearl Street, around 11 p.m.Evidence gathered during the investigation led to the SWAT team serving a search warrant the following morning at a home on North Pearl Street.During those searches, two juveniles were arrested in connection with the murder, said Salinas interim chief John Murray. Salinas police said as of 3 p.m. July 9, four total suspects are in custody at Monterey County Juvenile Hall. They were both charged with murder, robbery, gang enhancements and conspiracy.
